A Third Space for Black Joy, Healing & Connection

The Tunes, Turkey, Thanks & Therapy (T4) Experience isn’t just another holiday gathering—it’s a soul-nourishing, transformative space that centers Black youth and mentors in a way that many have never experienced before. Now in its 4th year, T4 continues to be a sanctuary of joy, healing, and community during a season that can feel isolating or challenging for many Black youth.

This event was born out of a deep need: to create a third space—one that isn’t home, school, or work—where Black youth can simply be themselves, surrounded by Black love, joy, and safety. It’s a space where they don’t have to explain themselves or their pain, where they can find healing, belonging, and remarkable memories.

Why T4 Matters?

For many Black youth, the holiday season is filled with emotional, financial, and personal challenges. Some are navigating trauma, others face housing instability, and many lack the spaces where they can be seen, heard, and celebrated. The T4 Experience steps in as a third space that breaks down barriers and creates a community-centered experience rooted in Black joy, healing, and love.

The Impact So Far

- 50+ mentees and 25+ mentors fed and supported last year. - Countless smiles, tears of joy, and stories of healing from youth who needed this space more than they could express. - Ongoing connections between mentees and mentors that last well beyond the event.

What Makes T4 a True Third Space?

- Black Fellowship & Connection: A space curated specifically for Black youth and mentors to come together, share stories, and build community. - Soul Food & Music: Food made with love, music that uplifts, and an atmosphere that celebrates Black culture. Access to licensed Black therapists - Joyful Memories: Laughter, games, and activities that help the youth reconnect with their inner child and experience joy without judgment. - A Safe Haven: A space where Black youth can just be—without expectations or limitations—surrounded by people who care deeply about their well-being.

KnewNorth™ Experience

Guiding Black Youth Toward New Horizons

KnewNorth™ is more than a travel program—it’s a life-changing journey that expands the horizons of Black youth and young adults, exposing them to new cultures, experiences, and opportunities that broaden their perspectives and ignite their passions.

The name KnewNorth™ speaks to the discovery of a new direction—a purposeful shift that allows Black youth to find their path, see beyond their current environments, and envision a future full of possibility.

Since its inception, KnewNorth™ has provided 8 fully-funded trips from Ohio to Oklahoma, giving youth the chance to step out of their comfort zones, embrace cultural enrichment, and connect with people and places that inspire personal, academic and professional growth.

Why KnewNorth™ Matters:

For many Black youth, opportunities to travel and explore beyond their neighborhoods are limited by financial constraints, lack of exposure, or systemic barriers. KnewNorth™ steps in to break those barriers—offering fully-funded trips that serve as catalysts for self-discovery, leadership development, and creative expression and imagination. It’s not just about the destination—it’s about the transformation that happens along the way.
